Built by King Herod, it has become one of the most important symbols of the Jewish people and state of Israel today. 1. Upper level: Adjacent to the palace buildings, containes a large bathhouse and storage rooms.
2. Three levels: Connected by a covered stairway.
3. Second level: Palacial living quarters.
4. Lower level: Interior courtyard decorated by frescoes.
