Glass Colors for Temple Ner Tamids
Blown Glass Colors - Ner Tamid & Temple Glass Colors
Ner Tamid features a unique technique of glass bending. Specialty or hand-coloured glass is then formed in the kiln, reaching 775˚C. After a careful annealing process the glass is affixed to the back of the structure and the glass appears to be coming through the spaces in the wooden frame. Transparent borosilicate glass was torch worked into discs and applied as inlays. Carved and painted with gold gilding, resulting in an Eternal Light which truly contributes to the Torah Ark and fills the surrounding sanctuary with a radiance of kedusha.
