Glass Colors for Temple Ner Tamids
Blown Glass Colors - Ner Tamid & Temple Glass Colors
Commissioned by Congregation Or Zaruah in Manhattan, NY, this Aron Kodesh features handcarving representing the Seven Species of Israel.   The Ark is built completely of solid African Walnut (including the handles) with Dovetail joinery. Columns are used as main supports in the corners.  The Aron holds 2-3 Torahs and doors slide into the sides of the ark, since this synagogue keeps the doors open through the entire service.   Work stands strong and can be easily moved by detaching hidden bolts which connect top and bottom boxes, four columns, and Ner Tamid. The Torah Ark is crowned with a glass Ner Tamid, hand carved with stained glass mounted through the back. Dimensions 120 cm W x 240 cm H x 50 cm D
