Set of 8 mosaic silver medals, in an elegant box ANCIENT MOSAICS OF THE HOLY LAND SERIES OF 8 ART MEDALS Israel Coins and Medals Corporation has chosen to commemorate eight selected ancient mosaics, representing Jewish, Christian and Islamic Art, with a variety of themes and styles, on colorful Art Medals, struck in gold and silver. Since medallic art is a form of miniature art and it would not be possible to reproduce a complete mosaic on a small 39mm diameter medal, the most interesting parts of the mosaics have been chosen as the main motifs for the medals. The 8 medals in the series have a common reverse bearing the inscription "Ancient Mosaics of the Holy Land".
