The Magen David, six pointed Star of David, is the recognized as the universal symbol of Judaism. The earliest use of this hexagram was as a seal in ancient Palestine, 6th century B.C. Today this symbol is used as a magical amulet of good luck and as a secularized symbol of Jewish identity. The stained glass front of the Star of David tzedakah box has been sandblasted and then fire polished in the kiln to bring out the iridescence and color of the glass. After this process the rest of the glass is cut by hand, wrapped in copper, and soldered to form the tzedakah box. Size - 4 x 8 x 2 1 2"
