Amber Menorah Ner Tamid
Synagogue Furniture designed this Eternal Light
to beautify the Aron kodesh and safe decoration at a Yeshiva in Jerusalem. Ner Tamid
features a unique technique of glass bending. Specialty or hand coloured glass is then formed in the kiln, reaching 775ËC. After a careful annealing process the glass is affixed to the back of the structure and the glass appears to be coming through the spaces in the wooden frame. Transparent coloured borosilicate glass was torch worked into discs and applied as inlays. Carved and painted with gold guilding, resulting in an Eternal Light
which truly contributes to the Torah Ark
and fill the surrounding sanctuary with a radiance of kedusha.
