May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of His hand." with an ancient Celtic trinity knot. The derivation of this familiar blessing is uncertain, though many believe it was spoken by St. Patrick himself. The opening lines now famous in the English language are a bit different from the opening lines in Gaelic which translate more exactly to 'success in your journey', or 'may you succeed on your journey'.
