Sonnet 116 by William Shakespeare The English sonnet consists of three groups of four lines called quatrains concluding with a rhyming couplet. Sonnet 116 which talks of love as an "ever-fixed mark" unshakable and true is one of the most well known sonnets and is often quoted in weddings and other ceremonies of love.
