Inscribed in raised letters: JAIME ET JESPERE in French which translates as I love and I hope The original poesy ring, after which this one was modeled, is in the collection of Thomas Jefferson's much beloved home, Monticello, now a museum. That ring was made in gold with blue enamel. Our adaptation here replaces the enamel with antiquing so that it can be worn on a daily basis for generations (as enamel is very fragile and scratches easily). Yet, this ring faithfully represents the original with its wonderful message about the essence of love; hope.
