Metal Passover Seder Plate by Shraga Landesman
Hand Cast Aluminum and Cobalt Blue Glass. 11.81 inches diameter, weighs 8 lbs.
This absolutely stunning Seder plate will take your breath away, and that of all your Seder guests also! Made of impressively heavy and intricately formed cast aluminum, it features a lovely abstract nature motif with nightingales and trees around the perimeter and ibexes in the center.
The Hebrew text around the perimeter is taken from King Solomon's Song of Songs: Hanitzavim niru ba'aretz; Et hazamir higia (Buds have appeared on the land; the time of the nightingale has come) (Song of Songs 2:12).
For each of the six depressions in the plate for the six Seder items, there is a beautiful deep blue glass dish. The plate stands on four legs.
Shraga Landesman has been creating beautiful works of art in unique and unusual materials and styles. His focus for the past many years has been on Jewish-themed pieces in cast or cut metal, often united with wooden elements.
